PLEASE READ THIS THOROUGHLY. IGNORING THIS CAN GET YOU REMOVED FROM DAUGHTERS OF DARKNESS!
CULTURE AND BEHAVIOR
The Daughters of Darkness encourage our members to enjoy all aspects of the game in a fun and friendly manner.
This is a mature guild. We will only accept members who are 18+ in real life.
We encourage you to enjoy the game however it is most fun for you. With that said, DoD guild resources, including the guild website, should not be used to promote non-affiliated guilds to our members.
While Daughters of Darkness is a large roleplaying organization, we do not limit ourselves to just roleplay activities. DoD members are equally involved in PvE and PVP activities as well. The founding principle of our guild is to be a place where all types of players can come and enjoy roleplaying as Sith and their allies.
USING /SAY OR /ME IN CHAT
With /say and /me, Daughters of Darkness will always remain in character. Your characters will always be unique. However, it's good practice to ask yourself "How would I reply?” as opposed to "How would my character reply?"
If you are making an out-of-character comment while using /say, please note it in (Parentheses)
Interaction With Other Players
Daughters of Darkness is a guild that welcomes all types of players and all types of interests. Our focus is on social interaction and fun.
Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated, either within the guild or outside of it! If something you say to another person is unwelcome or makes them uncomfortable, we consider it harassment. Have fun, but always be nice and respectful of everyone in the game.
While we want players to have fun, Daughters of Darkness is NOT an ERP guild and was not created for you to meet people playing pretty characters. Unsolicited requests for ERP are considered harassment and Major Rule violations. If you don't have a strong reason to think a guild member or other player in the game is interested in this, DO NOT ASK.
Guild chat is considered "free speech", but with some restrictions: Keep conversations free from profanity and inappropriate topics. Topics that should be avoided are:
Race (as in real life. Discussing in-game races is cool)
Nationality (see Race note)
Basically, Guild chat should be primarily about the guild, the game and Star Wars. That said, we're okay with the occasional conversations about other fun topics.
As a general guideline, keep your conversations in Guild Chat PG-13.
GROUP CHAT AND TELLS
In Group chat or /whisper with non-guild members, conversations should be out-of-character/Non-RP free speech. Please keep in mind that you represent the Daughters of Darkness when grouped with people, so make sure you comport yourself accordingly and are not being offensive or portraying yourself and the guild in a negative manner.
If you wish to RP in group chat or whispers make certain the other player is aware and okay with this.
GUILD RULE VIOLATIONS
Minor Rule Violations
Profanity in guild chat or other text-based community resources such as whispers or in-game mail.
Inappropriate actions that would be considered offensive. This will be at the discretion of the Council. Use your brain.
No offensive speech or inappropriate behavior during RP, PvP, or PvE with the general SWtOR population, including profanity. If this is reported or witnessed, we will take action.
No immature or overly dramatic behavior, including excessive use of guild chat for inappropriate things. Again – be smart.
